Khloe Kardashian is speaking candidly about a moment from her past that left a lasting mark and ended a habit she once loved. In a recent episode of her Khloe in Wonder Land podcast, released on Nov. 19, she reflected on why she stopped journaling after years of filling notebooks with personal thoughts and memories.
Khloe said she kept several journals throughout her marriage to Lamar Odom, documenting everyday experiences and private reflections. “I used to love to journal,” she said, adding that writing had been a grounding ritual for her. But she explained she hasn’t written in one “in years,” and the reason is tied to a painful episode during a difficult period in Lamar’s life.
She described how Lamar became increasingly paranoid and fixated on the journals. He eventually found them and, in her words, “was just convinced that I was taking notes and sending them to the government or something crazy.” What followed became one of her most devastating memories.

Khloe recalled Lamar throwing all of her journals into a fire while she watched, unable to stop it. “I remember sobbing, tears streaming down my face,” she said. “It was years of my life in these journals! They meant so much to me.” She described falling to her knees in their master bedroom, screaming as the pages burned. The loss cut so deeply that she never returned to journaling.
“That was the last time I journaled, because I just felt like, ‘Wow, that was taken away in a f–king blink.’ What was the point?” she said. The moment she explained, it changed the way she viewed writing and left her feeling as if a part of her history had been erased.
Khloe’s recollection comes shortly after Lamar shared cryptic throwback photos of the two of them on social media. His captions included lines like “grace carried me when strength couldn’t” and “pain doesn’t scare me anymore,” which drew attention from fans who were surprised to see him reflect so publicly on their past.

The former couple, who were married for seven years, had a brief on-screen reunion earlier this year on The Kardashians. It marked their first appearance together since their 2016 divorce and was seen by viewers as a bittersweet reminder of the challenges they once faced.
Khloe’s story offers a rare glimpse into a private moment that shaped her emotionally. Though years have passed, the loss of those journals remains one of the most painful memories she carries from that chapter of her life.
