Rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs has drawn public attention once again after a recorded message emerged in which he offered advice and support to his fellow rapper Kanye West from behind bars. Combs, who remains in federal custody in New York following his arrest on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering in September 2024, urged West to “be careful” with his recent actions.
In a recording obtained and released by The Shade Room, the 55-year-old music mogul candidly described his difficult experiences in detention and provided heartfelt counsel to West, reports The Independent.

“This s*** is wicked, wicked, wicked. So you be careful. I need you out there, you feel me? And have some fing fun, because we not having no fun in here,” Combs expressed. Encouraging West to refocus on his musical creativity, he added, “Get back behind the mic, have some fun, chop up their samples. Have some fun. Get back to smiling. F these other motherf***ers. They’ll waste your time.”
Combs also hinted optimistically at his future release and shared his desire to see West thriving in music and performance again. “So put that love in your heart, and enjoy yourself, man,” he said passionately. “When I get out there, man, I want to see you fing tear down the stadiums. I need to see you back on that stage, actually rapping and actually performing and everything. I be dreaming of that s.”

Responding positively, West acknowledged the advice, expressing renewed enthusiasm for his craft. “Yeah, it’s time for me to grab the mic and get back [out there]. I love music again. There was a time when everything was so frustrating. I can’t even explain it,” West confessed openly.
