Celine Dion’s potential retirement from her music career has left her devoted fans in shock. According to a source close to the singer, as reported by The National Enquirer, Dion has been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a debilitating condition that has confined her to her home.

The source explained, “Celine hasn’t been seen in public for almost 600 days, and there’s a good reason for that.” They revealed that her condition makes it difficult for her to walk and that she is highly sensitive to loud noises, which trigger painful spasms, making her prone to falls.

Dion’s health has deteriorated to the point where her back is hunched, and the muscle spasms she experiences can be excruciating. Due to her illness, Dion had to postpone her scheduled shows in May. Currently, she resides with her sister Linda in her home.

Celine’s sister Claudette, in an interview with Le Journal de Montreal, shared insights into her sister’s condition. She mentioned that when Celine is occupied, she speaks to Linda, who lives with her, and keeps her updated. Linda reported that Celine is diligently consulting top researchers in the field of stiff-person syndrome.

Claudette stressed the importance of rest, noting that Celine always strives for excellence but needs to listen to her body and heart. She believes that Celine’s recovery journey requires rest and acknowledges that finding an effective treatment has been challenging. However, the family maintains hope, given Celine’s innate discipline and dedication to all aspects of her life.
