Maren Morris has spoken out following an uncomfortable encounter with a fan during her latest tour stop in Michigan. The Grammy-winning country singer revealed the incident on Instagram, sharing that a fan crossed a personal boundary during a pre-show meet-and-greet.
“Hi y’all. Tonight’s show was so fun, but someone grabbed my ass during the meet-and-greet before the show,” Morris wrote on her Instagram Stories Friday. While clearly shaken by the experience, the 35-year-old artist said she will not let the incident stop her from engaging with fans.
“I’m going to continue them because one person shouldn’t ruin it for everyone, but please know I’m there to connect, share, hug, all the things, but please don’t override someone’s personal space. Love you,” she added.

Despite the incident, Morris continued the evening with grace and positivity. She released a behind-the-scenes vlog showing her smiling, chatting, and signing autographs for fans before taking the stage. Later, she posted photos from the show, where she performed in a dramatic black feathered dress, as per reports from Us Weekly.
“Thank you for a beautiful garden venue, a perfect sunset, and for selling the damn show out,” Morris captioned the images. “We can’t wait to come back.” The concert was part of her Dreamsicle tour, which began on May 30 in support of her latest album of the same name.
The project has drawn attention not only for its vibrant sound but also for its deeply personal themes. Earlier this year, Morris told The Cut that the record reflects the emotions she has navigated since her 2023 split from Ryan Hurd, her husband of five years.
“I’m not documenting what happened during the relationship. I’m documenting the grief, anger, and sadness that follows, and the vulnerability of putting yourself back out there again … of reconnecting with your female friends and yourself,” she said.

The new album and tour mark a pivotal moment for Morris, who has built her career on balancing vulnerability with strength. Known for her powerful vocals and fearless songwriting, she has often been candid with fans about her personal struggles and triumphs.
The Michigan incident may have been unsettling, but her response underscored a commitment to maintaining genuine connections with her audience. By continuing meet-and-greets, Morris made clear she values those interactions too much to let one inappropriate act overshadow them. As she moves forward on tour, Morris has reinforced that her music and her relationship with fans remain her top priorities.
