Justin Baldoni is feeling the heat behind closed doors as his legal battle with Blake Lively drags on, and it’s starting to take its toll. A close family friend has lifted the lid on how the It Ends with Us star is really doing, and it sounds like the stress is stacking up.
Blake, who starred opposite Baldoni in the upcoming film, has accused him of sexual harassment and fostering a hostile work environment during production. It’s a serious row that’s made waves in Hollywood and beyond, and according to those close to him, Baldoni and his wife Emily are doing their best to weather the storm by relying on those closest to them.

“They’ve been leaning on a tight circle of loyal friends,” the source shared, adding that while the lawsuit has definitely caused some stress, their relationship is holding strong. “The lawsuit drama is causing stress for both of them, but their marriage is solid and they are actually closer than ever”, reported PEOPLE.
The drama doesn’t stop there. On top of defending himself, Baldoni has hit back with his own legal action, countersuing both Blake and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, for defamation, extortion, and a laundry list of other allegations. But the wheels of justice move slowly; both trials are set for March 2026, which feels like an eternity for someone already under strain.

“March still feels very far away,” the friend admitted. “He’s certainly feeling the financial and emotional weight of his legal fight.” Still, those who know him best say he’s keeping his chin up. Despite everything, Baldoni hasn’t lost his signature optimism. “He’s a very positive guy,” the insider said. “He believes things will work out for the best.”
He’s also sticking close to home, focusing on time with his wife, kids, and longtime mates. “He’s been spending time with his wife, family, and close friends as much as ever,” another friend said. “He’s always had a small circle close to him, and that hasn’t changed.”

And while the financial burden of the case isn’t exactly small, yet another source insists he’s staying calm. “He is very confident in his legal team,” they said.
Fans first clocked that things weren’t quite right between Baldoni and Lively during the film’s promo tour — the two avoided joint interviews, and premiere events reportedly saw them keeping firmly to separate camps.
