Kristin Cavallari’s Ex Jay Cutler Addresses ‘No Money From Divorce’ Allegation

Jay Cutler has broken his silence following ex-wife Kristin Cavallari’s recent comments suggesting she never received “a penny” from their divorce settlement. The former NFL quarterback, 42, addressed the claims during the latest episode of his Take It Outside podcast, where he strongly rejected Cavallari’s remarks.

“I think it’s reckless,” Cutler said. “I think it’s borderline slander to insinuate that there was zero dollars split during the marriage that each side got. It’s insanity and it’s completely false, completely untrue.” He continued, “I can guarantee you it’s definitely not zero dollars. I hate that I even have to address it, honestly, but it gets to a point where it’s just untrue.”

Cutler’s comments were in direct response to Cavallari’s appearance on Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour earlier this summer. Speaking on June 18, the reality star told her audience, “I have never gotten a penny from my ex-husband. I didn’t get any money from our divorce, so let’s just clear that up. Thank you.”

The conflicting statements have reignited public interest in the former couple’s high-profile split. Cutler and Cavallari, who were married for seven years, announced their separation in April 2020. At the time, both emphasized their intention to co-parent amicably despite what they called “growing apart.”

The pair shares three children: Camden, 13, Jaxon, 11, and Saylor, 9. While both have spoken publicly about parenting since the divorce, the financial details of the settlement had remained largely private until Cavallari’s recent claims and Cutler’s rebuttal.

Cavallari, known for her reality TV career and business ventures, has frequently spoken about her independence following the divorce, highlighting her commitment to raising her children while building her brand. Her comments about the financial settlement were framed as part of that narrative, though Cutler’s forceful denial suggests there may be more to the story.

Cutler, who spent much of his career as the quarterback for the Chicago Bears, has largely kept a lower public profile since retiring from the NFL. His podcast, however, has provided a platform for him to address personal matters when necessary, as he did in this case.

While neither party has offered further clarification or legal documentation to support their respective claims, the disagreement underscores the ongoing tension that can linger after high-profile separations. For now, both remain focused on their children, though their differing accounts of the divorce settlement have sparked renewed debate among fans and followers.
