George and Amal Clooney are reportedly facing challenges in their marriage, with sources suggesting that the couple is on a “trial separation” due to their demanding careers and long-distance living arrangements.
The pair, who married in 2014 and share two children, have been living thousands of miles apart, sparking speculation about the state of their relationship. While George has stepped away from Hollywood, his latest passion for Broadway has allegedly created a strain on their marriage.

“As proud as Amal is that George is making his Broadway dream come true, it hasn’t been easy being this long away from each other, and they have been drifting apart due to those irregular hours,” a source told RadarOnline. “She’s used to him going away for a few days at a time, so this is certainly testing their relationship,” the insider added.
The source noted that while some might criticize Amal for not being by George’s side in New York City, their top priority has always been their children, who are thriving in their routine in Oxfordshire, England. “She knows taking on this job in Oxford sets the seal on her plans to continue raising the children in the UK, but it may come at a price,” the insider explained.
Despite reports of distance and struggles, some sources maintain that Amal remains fully supportive of George’s Broadway venture, even though it has resulted in him living far from his family. “Amal’s been encouraging George to try and step back from Hollywood for some time,” the source stated.
The insider also noted that while Amal is skilled at engaging with different circles, she never truly felt at home in Hollywood. “She’s clever enough to get on with people, but she never felt comfortable or fitted in,” the source said.
