Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, has been at the center of the Russia-Ukraine conflict for his help to the crisis-hit Ukraine. He has gained a lot of attention for his efforts to help the war-torn country.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Elon Musk for granting Ukraine access to Starlink, his company’s satellite internet system. He stated that Starlink would aid in the security of critical infrastructure and the city’s defense. After being shelled by Russian troops, several large Ukrainian cities were still without internet or phone service.

Musk’s SpaceX aims to launch thousands of Starlink satellites into orbit, trying to form an internet-service constellation that will serve as a low-cost alternative to remote land-based systems that are prone to damage.

Wading into another policy issue, Musk recently stated that the United States must immediately increase oil and gas output in response to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

“Hate to say it, but we need to increase oil & gas output immediately. Extraordinary times demand extraordinary measure,” he tweeted.

Following his comments, Twitterati and Musk followers have started to demand that he run for President of the United States.

Acting against one’s own self-interest for the sake of the common good is something to be proud of.

One Twitter user recommended Elon for President.

Indeed, the world needs more Elon Musks, wrote another user, joining hundreds of others who have called for Musk to run for President.
