Britney Spears is reportedly ready to start dating again, but those close to her are increasingly worried about the choices she is making. According to a report from Radar Online, the pop icon has been “taking chances” by dating men she barely knows, many of whom she meets through social media or hires to work around her home.
“The fact is she’s taking chances dating guys she doesn’t even know that well – guys she’s met on social media or who have worked for her,” an insider told the outlet. The source added that Spears has been surrounding herself with a mix of new acquaintances rather than long-time friends or trusted confidants.
“She’s randomly picking workers for her household and making them part of her squad,” they said. Spears, 43, has reportedly built what she considers a support circle from these new relationships. “She’s built a network of so-called friends that way, and she relies on the gals for pep talks and the guys for booty calls,” the insider revealed.

Those close to the singer are growing increasingly uneasy about her approach to dating and friendship, fearing she could be putting herself at risk. “What’s important to her is that her needs are met – both emotionally and physically. That means more to her than worrying about the character of people she’s bringing home,” the source explained.
“People who truly care about her worry she’s putting herself in dangerous situations, but they don’t know how to stop it,” the insider added, noting that Spears’ inner circle has struggled to reach her or influence her decisions since she regained her independence.
The concern comes after Spears ended her relationship with her former housekeeper, Paul Richard Soliz, in April 2025. The pair’s romance drew significant public attention, with reports suggesting it began shortly after he was hired to work for her.
Friends reportedly hope Spears will take time to focus on herself before pursuing another serious relationship. However, the singer appears determined to embrace her freedom and live on her own terms. Since the end of her conservatorship in 2021, Spears has frequently spoken about her desire to make her own choices, both personally and professionally.
While her independence has been widely celebrated, those close to her remain concerned that her openness to meeting new people could expose her to manipulation or harm. For now, Spears is said to be enjoying her single life, determined to find happiness her own way despite her friends’ growing fears.
