Brandi Glanville recently opened up about spending the holidays with her ex-husband, Eddie Cibrian, despite their complicated history, including his infidelity. On a recent episode of her Brandi Glanville Unfiltered podcast, the 52-year-old actress and model candidly discussed her decision to spend Christmas at Cibrian’s house for the sake of their children.
“I went over there to my ex’s house [for Christmas] because of my kids,” Glanville explained. “I mean, you guys don’t understand the love I have for these children. Like, I would take a bullet for them.” The actress made it clear that her love for her children, Mason, 21, and Jake, 17, whom she shares with Cibrian, outweighed any past issues with her ex.
Glanville further elaborated on her decision, saying, “What was I gonna do? Stay over here in my house, be lonely during Christmas, or go be with, like, my beloved children and my in-laws who I’m obsessed with and love?” She added that she felt a sense of pride for putting her children’s well-being first: “I have the utmost respect for myself. Like, certain times, I actually pat myself on the back and [say], like, ‘Oh, my girl. You’re doing this for your boys.'”
Reflecting on her divorce from Cibrian, who she was married to from 2001 to 2009, Glanville admitted that while it might seem unusual, she believes it was the best decision for her children. “It sounds ridiculous, and I don’t know that it would be done if it were the other way around if I had cheated and married and invited him over,” she said.
“I don’t know, but I can only speak [for myself when I say] that having two separate holidays f*** kids up, guys. It f*** them up. Two birthdays f*** them up.” Glanville’s openness about her co-parenting dynamic follows her complicated history with Cibrian, who famously had an affair with country singer LeAnn Rimes, whom he later married in 2011. Despite their tumultuous past, Glanville’s commitment to maintaining a positive relationship with Cibrian for the sake of their children shows her focus on family unity.
