Brad Pitt’s Los Angeles residence was broken into late on the night of June 25, according to law enforcement sources. The Oscar-winning actor was not home at the time, as he was overseas promoting his upcoming film F1.
The property, located in the upscale Los Feliz neighborhood, became the target of a burglary when three individuals reportedly scaled a fence and gained entry through a front window. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to NBC News that a break-in occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the area, though they did not officially identify the homeowner.
Police stated that the suspects ransacked the home and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of property. While investigators confirmed the theft of “miscellaneous items,” the total value of the stolen goods has not been revealed.
The burglary took place while Pitt, 61, was busy with international press duties. On June 16, he was in New York City for the world premiere of F1, his highly anticipated Formula One racing film. He later traveled to London for a June 23 screening, where he reunited with Interview With the Vampire co-star Tom Cruise.
Cruise, who previously collaborated with F1 director Joseph Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer on Top Gun: Maverick, shared his enthusiasm about the screening on Instagram. “Great night at the movies with my friends!!” Cruise wrote. “You guys crushed it!!”
Pitt was joined on both stops by his girlfriend of nearly two years, jewelry executive Ines de Ramon. She has reportedly been a constant presence throughout the film’s production and promotional tour. In a recent interview with GQ, Pitt addressed speculation that de Ramon’s public appearances alongside him were part of a calculated strategy to boost the film’s visibility.
“No, dude, it’s not that calculated,” Pitt said. “If you’re living, oh my God, how exhausting would that be? If you’re living with making those kinds of calculations?”
He added, “No, life just evolves. Relationships evolve.” As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the burglary. The investigation remains ongoing, and police have not commented on whether surveillance footage or other evidence has helped identify the suspects.
Fans and neighbors in Los Feliz remain on edge following the break-in, as the community grapples with rising concerns over high-profile home invasions in the area.
