LOS ANGELES – Reality TV star Brittany Cartwright is embarking on a new chapter, officially taking over and rebranding her podcast, When Reality Hits. The 36-year-old The Valley star shared the exciting news on Instagram, just days after her ex, Jax Taylor, publicly admitted to struggling with addiction.
“So I’m parked out of a gas station right now, but I am just so excited because I just finished my shoot to do the whole rebrand for When Reality Hits,” Cartwright said in a video clip posted to her social media. “I’m fully taking it over. I cannot wait for you guys to see this photo shoot,” she continued, expressing her enthusiasm for the podcast’s new direction.
Cartwright, who rose to fame on Vanderpump Rules before transitioning to The Valley, teased more details about what’s to come. “This is going to be so much fun, I cannot wait. Like When Reality Hits is going to another level, and I am so ready for this.”
Alongside the video, she officially announced the transition in her caption, writing, “It’s official! I can finally announce that moving forward I’ll be taking over When Reality Hits! Full rebrand coming your way very soon. I’m just so thankful for all of the love and support.”

The announcement follows Taylor’s candid confession on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast, where he revealed his decades-long struggle with addiction. “I’ve been dealing with substance issues—primarily with cocaine—for the past two decades,” Taylor admitted.
Cartwright has not directly addressed Taylor’s remarks, but her decision to take full ownership of her podcast suggests she is focusing on her personal and professional growth.
As she prepares to relaunch When Reality Hits, fans are eagerly anticipating how the podcast will evolve under her sole leadership. With the rebrand on the horizon, Cartwright is ready to take her next big step in the entertainment industry.
