Blake Lively has finally spoken out — albeit indirectly — about her ongoing legal dispute with actor-director Justin Baldoni. The Gossip Girl alum, who filed a lawsuit earlier this year accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment and initiating a smear campaign, had remained publicly silent on the matter until a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
During the interview, which was part of the promotional tour for her upcoming film Another Simple Favor, Lively opened up about the emotional toll this year has taken on her, choosing her words carefully but pointedly.

“What I can say without going too much into it is that this year has been full of the highest highs and the lowest lows of my life,” the 38-year-old actress said, clearly referencing the personal and professional upheaval caused by the ongoing legal battle.
While Lively refrained from naming Baldoni or discussing specific allegations, she used her platform to speak about the broader issue of women’s voices being suppressed. “And I see so many women around, afraid to speak, afraid to share their experiences, and fear is by design. It’s what keeps us silent,” she shared during the interview.

Lively filed her case against Baldoni, who directed and co-starred with her in It Ends With Us, earlier this year. The allegations sent shockwaves through the industry, with many waiting to see how the high-profile legal drama would unfold. Until now, Lively had chosen to stay silent, letting legal documents and court proceedings speak on her behalf.
“But I also acknowledge that many people don’t have the opportunity to speak, so I do feel fortunate that I’ve been able to,” she continued, hinting at her privilege to be heard while recognizing the silence many survivors are forced to endure.

The Green Lantern star credited other women for giving her the strength to continue forward in her legal and emotional journey. “And it’s the women who have had the ability to use their voice that’s kept me strong, and you know, helped me in my belief and my fight for the world to be safer for women and girls,” Lively added.
Professionally, Lively is returning to the screen alongside Anna Kendrick in Another Simple Favor, the sequel to the 2018 hit film, once again directed by Paul Feig.
While the court case remains ongoing, Lively’s carefully chosen words mark a turning point — a public acknowledgment of private battles and a reaffirmation of her commitment to advocacy and justice.
