Dakota Johnson not happy with Chris Martin’s ex Gwyneth Paltrow: Here’s why

Dakota Johnson is reportedly growing frustrated with Gwyneth Paltrow’s involvement in her upcoming wedding with Chris Martin. According to an insider, the wedding planning process is becoming strained as Paltrow attempts to impose her vision on the event.

A source spilled to Radar Online, “Dakota is grateful she and Gwyneth have a good relationship and she’s happy to get her advice, but the downside is that Gwyneth tends to take over.”

“Gwyneth is very bossy and when you give her an inch, she takes a mile!” revealed an insider. “Dakota and her mom have been dreaming about this since she was little,” dished an insider. The source told the outlet, “Dakota has very clear ideas of how she wants her wedding.”

“Dakota and her mom have been dreaming about this since she was little,” the insider shared, emphasizing the personal significance of the wedding for Johnson. The source revealed that Johnson has very specific ideas about how she wants her wedding to be, ideas that are now clashing with Paltrow’s suggestions.

The tension seems to stem from Paltrow’s influence over the wedding’s planning, with the insider noting that Paltrow is trying to convert the event into something resembling a promotion for Goop, her lifestyle brand. “Gwyneth is already butting heads with Dakota’s planner because she’s basically trying to turn it into a Goop-themed wedding — which is not what Dakota wants!” the insider explained.

Johnson, who has been dating Coldplay frontman Chris Martin for six years, reportedly got engaged in 2020 and moved into a Malibu mansion together in 2021. The couple’s relationship has been marked by their low-profile public appearances and mutual respect for their private lives.

The source also pointed out that while Johnson is typically accommodating, she has her limits. “Dakota is a people pleaser but even she has her limits,” the insider stated, adding a warning: “If Gwyneth doesn’t back off, she’s going to snap!”

This brewing conflict highlights the challenges of navigating family dynamics in wedding planning, especially when the event involves high-profile individuals with strong personalities.
