In a recent bombshell interview on “Meet the Press,” former President Donald Trump left anchor Kristen Welker and viewers in suspense as he dodged questions regarding his actions on the infamous day of January 6, 2021. When pressed about any attempts to contact the military during the U.S. Capitol attack, Trump cryptically stated, “I’m not going to tell you anything.”

According to a report by HuffPost on Monday, September 18, 2023, Rep. Adam Schiff didn’t hold back in his response. Talking to CNN’s Jim Acosta, Schiff blasted Trump’s silence, commenting, “I thought that was one of the most telling exchanges of the interview. He won’t say who he called because he called no one to put an end to this.”

As the narrative unveils Trump’s potential inactivity during the Capitol siege, the former president made a shocking claim. He attempted to pin the blame on Rep. Nancy Pelosi, stating she had declined his offer to deploy the National Guard days before the attack. This statement was quickly debunked by various media outlets, pointing out the glaring inaccuracies in Trump’s assertion.

Both Schiff and Pelosi didn’t waste any time responding. Schiff pointed out, “He does nothing but project onto others his own lack of action.” Meanwhile, Pelosi, in a conversation with MSNBC, confidently asserted, “He knows he’s responsible for that, so he projects it onto others.”
