Major Misstep: Top GOP Strategist Criticizes Far-Right’s Fixation on Biden’s Impeachment

Veteran GOP strategist, Mike Murphy, dropped a bombshell on MSNBC’s The 11th Hour with Stephanie Ruhle. Murphy slammed his party’s far-right for their “incredibly stupid idea” of pursuing impeachment against President Joe Biden.

Instead of seizing the chance to critique Biden’s economic performance, Murphy believes that these impeachment attempts merely divert attention and inadvertently aid the Democrats. Whether you’re a Biden fan or critic, Murphy’s revelation about the GOP’s strategy might just leave you stunned.

He added:

“So, politically, it’s an incredibly stupid idea. But we suffer in my beloved GOP from kind of the banana republic wing. Many of them are elected, particularly in the house, and they — are a minority of them that have been direct mail fundraising operations to feed, and kind of this echo chamber and stuff, can hardly wait to do something like that, because it is in their narrow interests. It’s not in the Republican party’s interests if they want to not get wiped out next year and propose in November.”
