Despite some world leaders labeling their vacations as “working holidays,” it’s evident that they still make the most of their time in the sun. The US President, Joe Biden, renowned for his fondness for ice cream, manages to indulge in the summer treat while on a 10-day beach getaway in Delaware.

Recently, he was spotted relaxing on the beach, taking a break from his official duties. This vacation contributes to the increasing number of days Biden has spent on holiday since assuming office.

According to reports, he has accumulated a total of 360 vacation days, accounting for nearly 40% of his presidency’s time. Although some have raised concerns about the frequency of his vacations, Biden’s staff has defended his work ethic, stating that the president continues to fulfill his responsibilities even during downtime.

There have been reports of him engaging in official duties while comfortably reading government documents on the beach.

According to aides of former US President Donald Trump, they often referred to his time away from the White House as a “working vacation.” However, a data analysis published in August 2020 unveiled a different picture. It showed that Trump spent the entirety or a portion of his 383 days of presidency at properties owned either by him or his private company. This revelation came despite promises he had made during his election campaign about handling his business interests while in office.

“I would rarely leave the White House because there’s so much work to be done,” Trump said to a news outlet in June 2015, the month he launched his first presidential campaign. “I would not be a president who took vacations. I would not be a president that takes time off.”

Among the locations where former US President Donald Trump spent his time during his presidency are his Mar-a-Lago property in Palm Beach, Florida, and his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
