Texas Woman Shoots Neighbor, Allegedly Drinks Blood, and Fleeing the Scene

A woman accused of murdering her neighbor with a shotgun in Lacy Lakeview on Tuesday reportedly told authorities she “shot [the victim] in the head” because the victim “killed her dog,” according to a newly obtained police affidavit.

The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday, September 6, just before midnight, when Lacy Lakeview Police responded to a call at 425 Whispering Ave. from Angie Moore, the victim. Moore told officers that someone was attempting to break into her home through a window and that she had a gun, later revealed to be a shotgun, to defend herself.

However, when the first officer arrived at the scene, he noticed the suspect was “completely naked,” according to the affidavit. A second officer also arrived and saw the woman, later identified as Cynthia Ellen Ming, covered in blood. Ming reportedly tried to flee into the roadway, prompting officers to deploy a stun gun, which was ineffective. After a brief struggle, the officer was able to subdue Ming and place her in handcuffs.

Inside the home, officers found Moore’s lifeless body “lying in a large pool of blood.” Despite attempts to administer CPR, Moore was pronounced dead at the scene, according to local NBC affiliate KCEN.

While under arrest at the hospital, Ming told medical personnel that when she entered Moore’s home, “[Moore] had a gun… grabbed the gun from her [and] shot her in the head.” She also reportedly stated, “Cynthia then again stated that she ‘murdered her’ due to her killing her dog,” as detailed in the affidavit.

Authorities also noted that Ming had several cuts on her body, and she told medical personnel she had sustained the wounds from “going through the window.” After receiving medical treatment, Ming was charged with first-degree murder and transported to McLennan County Jail, where she is being held on a $1 million bond.
