Sean “Diddy” Combs is expected to spend Thanksgiving inside Fort Dix Federal Prison in New Jersey, where he has been held since his arrest in September 2024. The holiday will follow a set schedule that prison officials say is designed to give inmates a brief sense of normalcy during the festive season.
According to a spokesperson, the plans for the day include recreational events and limited social activities. Inmates will be able to take part in sports tournaments, card games, concerts, and approved visits from family members. Officials indicated that these gatherings are meant to create a supportive environment despite the circumstances.
As one spokesperson noted, “Prison officials say these holiday events are designed to boost morale and foster a sense of community among inmates during the festive season.” Combs, who is 56, will receive the same meals provided to the general population.

The Thanksgiving menu includes a traditional lunch with turkey roast, a soy chicken option for vegetarians, corn bread stuffing, mashed sweet potatoes, corn, gravy, whole wheat bread, and either fruit or dessert. Dinner later in the day will offer deli meats, sliced cheese, peanut butter, chips, and a choice of additional fruit or dessert.
The menu was reported by TMZ and is consistent with typical holiday offerings at federal facilities. Combs has remained incarcerated since federal agents arrested him on charges connected to a long-running investigation into alleged misconduct. After a trial that lasted nearly two months, a jury found him guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
He was acquitted of several other accusations, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, which had drawn widespread public attention. In October, a judge sentenced him to four years and two months in federal custody.

His projected release date recently shifted from May 8, 2028, to June 4, 2028. While prison officials have not publicly commented on the reason for the adjustment, reports suggest the delay may stem from disciplinary issues during his incarceration. These incidents reportedly include consuming homemade alcohol and taking part in a banned three-way phone call in early November.
Such violations can lead to the loss of good behaviour credits, ultimately extending the time an inmate must serve. As Thanksgiving approaches, Combs is expected to follow the same routine as other inmates. The holiday events provide limited relief within a strict environment, but the overall structure of his daily life remains unchanged. His legal team has not issued new statements regarding his sentence or the revised release date.
