Meghan Markle’s latest business endeavor, her brand As Ever, has not been met with widespread enthusiasm. Critics on social media have raised concerns over the brand’s aesthetic choices and pricing, with many pointing to its $64 signature candle No. 084 and a $42 gift box containing fruit spreads, including raspberry, orange marmalade, and strawberry.
Despite receiving some recognition, including being featured in Oprah’s Favorite Things, the responses have been less than favorable. Paula Froelich of NewsNation discussed the backlash with Kinsey Schofield on her program, offering her perspective on the brand’s reception. “Nobody has said that she is a great business person; there’s just a disconnect, really,” Froelich remarked.
“Between what’s going on and that cavernous mansion in Montecito,” she added, referring to Markle’s lavish lifestyle in California. This commentary comes at a time when Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, are already facing challenges, with recent reports highlighting the ongoing strain within the royal family.

Rumors have surfaced that Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, is working hard to bring Harry back to the UK and help him rebuild his reputation, especially within his brother Prince William’s circle. Sources close to the family have suggested that Kate is pushing for a reconciliation between the brothers, even encouraging Harry to return to the UK without Meghan on his next visit.
An insider shared with Heat World, “Kate’s tried everything to get William to soften on Harry, and Meghan as well, but there’s just no moving him.” The source continued, “Her hands are tied, so in the spirit of being practical, she’s urging Harry to come back without Meghan on his next trip, as proof that he’s his own man and not joined at the hip with his wife.”
According to the insider, Kate believes this is the only way Harry can begin to rebuild his relationship with William. “She’s trying to keep a bridge open for Harry before it’s too late, but it does feel a little insurmountable. William’s anger and mistrust just run so deep,” the source said.

As the royal family navigates these complex dynamics, Meghan’s business efforts seem to be facing criticism, and the broader tension within the family only adds to the scrutiny she faces. While As Ever has garnered attention, it remains to be seen how the brand will evolve in the face of both business challenges and ongoing family drama.
