Kim Kardashian has opened up about a surprising personal project, designing her own wedding gown in preparation for a potential fourth marriage. The 44-year-old reality star and entrepreneur shared the revelation during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast on October 15.
Known for her high-profile past marriages to Damon Thomas, Kris Humphries, and Kanye West, Kardashian admitted she’s open to walking down the aisle again someday. “I was starting to have Manfred Thierry Mugler design a wedding dress, even though… Just because I wanted it in my archive of like, what I would wear,” she recalled. “I had the perfect one, and we were designing it and making it, and I just want that.”
Podcast host Alex Cooper asked if the design was “just for a rainy day,” prompting Kardashian to explain her reasoning. “We just talked about it, and he said we were going to start making it. I was like, ‘Just trust me. No, I just want it. I just know I need this in my archive for one day. I just want to be ready,’” she said.

Sadly, the project never reached completion before the passing of the iconic French designer in January 2022. Despite that, Kardashian revealed she still envisions wearing the same design if she marries again.
“I really loved it, this, like, Thierry Mugler wedding dress,” she said fondly. Kardashian, who shares four children — North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm — with her ex-husband Kanye West, also spoke about how her children, particularly her eldest daughter, have been encouraging her to find love again.
“I think she just said to me the other day, like, ‘Mom, you’ve got to get remarried. Like, you’re getting too old,’” Kardashian added with a laugh.
The American Horror Story actress has kept her dating life relatively private since her split from West, focusing instead on her businesses, including SKIMS and her legal studies. However, she has occasionally hinted that she remains open to love and marriage if the right person comes along.

Kardashian’s comments reflect both her romantic optimism and her signature eye for style. Her decision to commission a couture wedding gown “for one day” suggests a mix of practicality and sentimentality — keeping her options, and her wardrobe, ready for any possibility.
Though the Mugler gown remains unfinished, the star’s vision of the perfect dress — and her willingness to love again — continues to keep fans intrigued about what her next chapter might hold.
