Prince Harry’s Anger Grows as Meghan Markle Downplays Diana Scandal

Prince Harry is reportedly “livid” with Meghan Markle after she filmed a short video near the Pont de l’Alma tunnel in Paris, the location where his mother, Princess Diana, died in a car crash in 1997. The brief clip, shared online after Paris Fashion Week, quickly drew backlash and reignited painful memories for the Duke of Sussex.

According to RadarOnline, Meghan recorded the video following her appearance at Balenciaga’s Paris Fashion Week show. The footage shows her camera panning across the bridge before cutting to a shot of her feet resting on a car seat. Social media users swiftly criticized the video, calling it “insensitive” and “tone-deaf” given the site’s tragic history.

Sources close to the royal couple told the outlet that Harry was devastated when he learned where the clip had been filmed. “He couldn’t believe she’d filmed anything near that location – it’s sacred ground for him,” one insider said. “He told her it felt like she’d turned the worst moment of his life into a backdrop for a fashion shoot.”

The source added that Harry has struggled for years with the trauma surrounding his mother’s death, and the video reopened emotional wounds. “He’s been carrying around rage and grief for years, and this reopened old wounds,” the insider said.

Another royal source described Harry’s reaction as one of deep anger and heartbreak. “He will be absolutely horrified and deeply angry, as the video touches on one of the most traumatic times in his life,” the source explained. “Even if it wasn’t deliberate, it was a serious lapse in judgment.”

Critics on social media echoed similar sentiments, questioning Meghan’s decision to film near such a sensitive location. Many pointed out that the Pont de l’Alma tunnel remains a symbolic site for fans of Princess Diana, with tributes still left there regularly.

The second insider added that Meghan’s misstep could damage her public image. “Meghan really cannot afford these kinds of blunders, given her profile and the brand she is trying to build around herself,” the source said. “Filming in that part of Paris may not have been meant to offend anyone, but it came across as grossly insensitive, and errors like this do carry real consequences.”
