“Well, that wasn’t the first time,” Reeves said with a smile. “We’ve been going out for a long time.” He went on to praise Grant, 52, for the thoughtful and calm way she handled the online gossip after fans mistakenly assumed the couple had married in secret. “The wedding, it’s a nice thing,” Reeves said.
“People did a lot of nice messages and stuff, but Alexandra just did a wonderful [job] addressing. Like, ‘Thank you, but here’s the reality.’” The confusion began in late September when Grant shared a photo of herself and Reeves sharing a kiss at an art exhibition. The affectionate post quickly spread online, with many fans believing it was an engagement or wedding announcement.
Grant quickly set the record straight on Instagram. “This is a real photo,” she wrote on September 24. “Not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement… simply a kiss!” She continued, “I’m sharing it here to say thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our wedding.
Except we didn’t get married. Good news is much needed these days, but it’s still fake news, so be careful out there! So, here’s a bit of real happiness!” Reeves and Grant, who began dating in 2018, have built their relationship on privacy, respect, and shared creativity.
