President Donald Trump showed a playful side in a new YouTube video shared by his granddaughter, Kai Trump, where he imitated his youngest son, Barron. The lighthearted moment, filmed at a golf course, has quickly gone viral.
In the video titled “Playing Golf with President Trump (My Grandpa),” Kai, 18, sits beside her grandfather in a golf cart and asks about Barron, who is now 19 and a sophomore at New York University’s Washington, D.C. campus.
“How’s Barron doing at NYU?” she asks. Trump smiles and replies, “He’s doing good. He’s a good boy. He loves you.” Then, in a humorous moment, he adds a high-pitched imitation: “[Barron said] ‘Say hello to Kai, Dad,’” while pulling a scrunched-up face.
The clip is part of an hour-long vlog that has already surpassed a million views. Kai, who has built a following of over 1.26 million subscribers, described the video as the start of her new series, 1 on 1 with Kai.
“I had an amazing time filming with my Grandpa to kick off my new series called 1 on 1 with Kai. In the video, everyone gets to see the bond we have, especially on the golf course,” she wrote in the caption. “This is my favorite video I have filmed so far, and it holds a lot of meaning to me. I hope you enjoy this very special video.”
The president, known for his sharp humor and public persona, appeared relaxed and jovial throughout the video. Viewers praised the warm family dynamic and the glimpse into Trump’s life outside politics.
While Kai continues to expand her online presence, Barron Trump may also soon step into the digital spotlight. Reports suggest he has been discussed as a possible candidate for a TikTok board position. Jack Advent, a social media producer for Trump, told the Daily Mail he hopes Barron will join the short-form video platform’s leadership team.

“I’m hopeful President Trump will consider appointing his son Barron and maybe other young Americans to TikTok’s board to help ensure it remains an app young people want to keep using,” Advent said.
Barron Trump has not commented publicly on the idea, but the speculation adds to the growing interest in the youngest Trump’s potential future in public life.
For now, the viral golf outing showcases a more personal and lighthearted side of the Trump family—one where politics takes a backseat to humor, family, and a shared love of the game.
