According to a report by RadarOnline, the Prince and Princess of Wales are considering a move to Forest Lodge, an “isolated” residence in Windsor Great Park. The couple’s desire for a simpler lifestyle has sparked debate within royal circles about the potential impact on the future of the monarchy.
A royal source told the outlet that Kate “wants to live more simply, surrounded by nature and focus on her family and her health,” following her ongoing recovery from cancer. For that reason, she is said to be “eyeing Forest Lodge,” a secluded estate that would allow her to prioritize her well-being and her children.
However, the source noted that the move could complicate Prince William’s responsibilities. “It also means William will have to make choices about how much time he spends in London versus Windsor,” the insider said.
Some within the palace are reportedly uneasy about what this lifestyle shift might mean for the royal family’s public image. “People are worried that by putting family life and privacy first, William could start to lose touch with the public,” a senior palace aide shared.
This concern reflects a long-standing royal principle emphasized by the late Queen Elizabeth II, who “always believed visibility was essential – and some think he’s pulling back more than he should,” the source added.
