Tesla CEO Elon Musk has spoken out after his name appeared in Jeffrey Epstein’s personal calendar, which included a note about an invitation to the late financier’s private island. Epstein, a convicted sex offender, kept detailed records of his daily activities and interactions, many of which were released this week as part of a third batch of documents from his estate.
The latest release includes phone message logs, flight manifests, financial ledgers, and copies of Epstein’s schedules. Among the names mentioned in these records were several high-profile figures, including Musk, venture capitalist Peter Thiel, former White House strategist Steve Bannon, and Prince Andrew. The documents were turned over to Democrats on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, which has been examining Epstein’s network of associates.
Musk had not addressed the situation until Sky News ran a story titled Elon Musk and Prince Andrew named in latest Epstein files release. The billionaire quickly pushed back on the coverage, criticizing the framing of the headline and accusing the outlet of misrepresenting his connection to Epstein.

Taking to his social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Musk wrote: “Shame on Sky News for this utterly misleading headline.” He followed up with a stronger statement: “Anyone pushing this false narrative deserves complete contempt. Epstein tried to get me to go to his island and I REFUSED, yet they name me even before Prince Andrew, who did visit.”
The comment marks Musk’s first direct response to being linked to Epstein in official records. While the documents suggest Epstein attempted to make contact, Musk insists he never accepted the invitation or had any meaningful relationship with him. By contrast, Prince Andrew’s association with Epstein has been heavily scrutinized for years, including through legal cases and public criticism.
Musk has previously drawn attention to the Epstein files by claiming that former President Donald Trump’s name also appears in them. His latest remarks underline his frustration with what he views as misleading reporting and attempts to tie him to Epstein’s inner circle.
With the release of these documents, scrutiny is once again intensifying on the extent of Epstein’s connections to powerful individuals. Musk’s public denial signals that he intends to distance himself firmly from any suggestion of involvement.
