Millie Bobby Brown is entering a new stage in her life, balancing family and career as she prepares for a major film role and embraces motherhood. The 21-year-old Stranger Things actress recently welcomed a baby girl through adoption with her husband, Jake Bongiovi.
The couple announced the news last month, sharing that family has always been central to their plans for the future. On September 24, E! News reported that Brown is also in final negotiations to portray Olympic gymnast Kerri Strug in the upcoming biopic Perfect.
The film will focus on the U.S. women’s gymnastics team’s historic triumph at the 1996 Summer Games in Atlanta. Brown spoke about her personal and professional ambitions during a recent appearance on the Smartless podcast, emphasizing how important it is to her to build both a family and a career. “Jake knows how important it is to me,” she said.

“It is definitely in our future.” The actress also shared her perspective on adoption and the meaning of parenthood. “I don’t see having your own child as really any different from adopting,” explained the Electric State star. “For me, my home is full of love for anyone and anything.”
Brown’s potential new role will see her portray Strug, who became an American sports icon at the 1996 Olympics. Despite competing with a badly injured ankle, Strug completed a vault that secured the gold medal for the U.S. team. Now 47, the retired gymnast remains a symbol of resilience and determination in the sport.
Production on Perfect is expected to begin in mid-2026, though no official release date has been announced. The project aims to highlight the extraordinary achievements of the women’s gymnastics team, which captivated audiences around the world nearly three decades ago.
With her acting career expanding into new roles and her growing family life with Bongiovi, Brown is continuing to show her commitment to both her personal and professional dreams.
