The 37-year-old Love On The Brain singer announced the birth of her daughter, Rocki Irish Mayers, who arrived on September 13. She shared the happy news on Instagram with the first photographs of her newborn.
In one picture, Rihanna cradled her baby, dressed in a soft pink onesie. Another image showed the infant’s tiny hands in pink gloves tied with delicate ribbons. Rihanna added a personal touch by wearing a “Mom” ring. Her caption read, “Rocki Irish Mayers Sept 13 2025,” tagging Rocky in the post.
The couple, who began their relationship in 2020, revealed in May that they were expecting their third child. Rihanna had debuted her baby bump during a walk in New York City, while Rocky confirmed the pregnancy on the 2025 Met Gala red carpet, where he served as co-chair.
The pair are already parents to two sons: RZA, born in 2022, and Riot, born in 2023. They had openly shared their desire to raise children close in age.
A source told PEOPLE earlier this year that Rihanna “has always wanted a big family” and that both she and Rocky were “thrilled to be growing their family.” The insider added that the couple hoped their children would grow up with a strong sibling bond.
Rihanna expressed her happiness over the prospect of giving her sons a little sister. While promoting The Smurfs in Los Angeles this summer, she said, “They’re delighted,” when asked how her two boys felt about becoming big brothers.
The singer admitted she had long dreamed of having a daughter but emphasized that her greatest blessing was simply the arrival of a healthy child. “God knows best, right? And I love my boys,” she shared.
Rocky voiced similar sentiments at the time of the pregnancy reveal. Speaking to the Associated Press, he said, “It feels amazing, you know? We were tired of holding that, and it was time to show the people what we were cooking up. I’m glad everybody’s happy for us, because we’re definitely happy.”
