Speaking with The Mirror, Jennie Bond explained that Meghan made a “wise” choice by keeping her husband out of the spotlight this time around. “I think Meghan is very wise to keep the focus on her. This is her baby, her project, and I think Harry has deliberately kept out of the way so that the spotlight shines on his wife,” Bond said.
The Duchess of Sussex returned to Netflix this week with the new season of With Love, Meghan, her lifestyle series filled with celebrity friends, chefs, crafting sessions, and plenty of hosting advice. Meghan sprinkles in warm mentions of Harry and their children, Archie and Lilibet, and even shares a few personal family photos, but the show is very much centered on her.
Bond pointed out that the series is “not about being married to a prince. It’s about being an influencer and selling her products. And it seems to be doing the job rather well.”
Fans noticed the clear difference from season one, which included a cameo from Harry in the finale. Back then, the Duke of Sussex popped up during a garden brunch Meghan hosted for loved ones, charming viewers who tuned in expecting a behind-the-scenes look at the Sussexes’ life together.
This season, though, Meghan has leaned into making the show her own. With its blend of lifestyle tips and celebrity appearances, the series highlights her personal brand while keeping her family in the background. By design, Harry, Archie, and Lilibet are absent from the episodes, allowing Meghan to step forward as the star of the project.
