“Your Personality Was Not Like This”: Kim Kardashian Confronts Kanye West in In Whose Name? Trailer

Kim Kardashian is seen in tears telling her ex-husband Kanye West, “Your personality was not like this,” in the first trailer for his upcoming documentary In Whose Name?.

The trailer, released Wednesday, offers a tense and emotional look at Ye’s life, blending intimate conversations with candid moments captured over six years by director Nico Ballesteros.

The preview opens with Ye’s voiceover admitting, “I’m off my meds for five months now.” It then cuts to a clip of Kim tearfully confronting him: “Your personality was not like this a few years ago.”

Other scenes show the rapper spending time with his eldest daughter, North, before switching to a more defiant tone. “Never tell me I’m gonna wake up one day and have nothing,” Ye says in another voiceover, reports Page Six.

The exchange between the former couple grows more heated in one moment. Kim begins, “We can talk about that later, but,” only for Kanye to cut her off sharply: “It ain’t no but!”

Ye and Kim, who married in 2014, split in 2021, finalizing their divorce in 2022. They share four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. Their co-parenting relationship has been the subject of public attention, and the trailer suggests the documentary will delve into some of their most difficult conversations.

According to Deadline, In Whose Name? features footage collected over a six-year period, promising a detailed look into Ye’s personal and professional life during some of his most turbulent years. The film appears to explore his struggles with mental health, his creative process, and his complicated personal relationships.

The documentary, directed by Ballesteros, is scheduled for release on September 19 and will screen on approximately 1,000 screens nationwide. The trailer hints at a raw and unfiltered portrayal of Ye, capturing both vulnerable and combative moments.

With its mix of family tensions, candid admissions, and glimpses into Ye’s life away from the spotlight, In Whose Name? is shaping up to be one of the most revealing projects the rapper has ever released.
