Julia Garner and Josh Brolin Shine at Premiere of Thriller Weapons

Julia Garner and Josh Brolin turned heads this week as they stepped out together for the highly anticipated premiere of their upcoming thriller Weapons. The red carpet event took place at the historic United Theater on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles, drawing a star-studded crowd to celebrate the film’s debut.

Brolin, known for his iconic roles in films like The Goonies and No Country for Old Men, was all smiles as he posed alongside Garner, the Ozark and Inventing Anna breakout. The pair co-star in the mystery thriller directed by Barbarian filmmaker Zach Cregger.

They were joined by an ensemble cast including Cary Christopher, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Benedict Wong, Amy Madigan, and June Diane Raphael. Writer-director Cregger also walked the carpet, receiving praise for his suspenseful storytelling and cinematic vision, as per Just Jared.

Weapons, produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, centers on a chilling and cryptic premise: “When all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.” The suspense-filled plot has already begun turning heads ahead of its theatrical release on August 8, 2025.

Even before hitting the big screen, Weapons is generating significant buzz. The film premiered with a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes—an impressive feat that signals high expectations from both critics and audiences.

While the film’s debut was the focus of the night, both Garner and Brolin are staying busy with other major projects. Brolin is set to appear in several upcoming films, including Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, The Running Man 2025, and The Dog Stars. His continued presence in both action and drama genres keeps him among Hollywood’s most in-demand stars.

Meanwhile, Julia Garner has confirmed that she remains attached to portray Madonna in the long-awaited biopic. Though the project has faced production delays, Garner recently reaffirmed her commitment to the role, keeping fans excited for what’s to come.

With a gripping storyline, a stellar cast, and a director known for genre-bending suspense, Weapons is shaping up to be one of the summer’s must-see films. As excitement builds, Garner and Brolin’s compelling screen partnership is poised to make a lasting impact.
