A shocking video has surfaced showing the moment 7-year-old Jamal White was kidnapped at gunpoint outside his Milwaukee home while his father, Jamal Sr., ran inside to safety, leaving his son behind.
The footage, obtained by WISN, shows Jamal riding his bike near his driveway when a white Jeep suddenly pulls up, blocking the path. Two suspects leap from the vehicle and grab the child. Instead of intervening, Jamal Sr. is seen sprinting into the house. Moments later, he reappears only to slam the trunk of his car in frustration.
Facing heavy backlash online, the father responded to critics in a Facebook post: “Hell yeah, I ran… I ran I’m thinking they tryna rob me, not take my damn baby.”
The incident occurred at 7 p.m. on a Friday, though an Amber Alert wasn’t issued until nearly five hours later. Fortunately, Jamal was found nearly 24 hours later, safe at a house seven miles away from where he was abducted.

In his follow-up post, the father defended himself, writing: “Y’all slow we both alive n my baby tried to get away like I taught em… God had us the whole time obviously I did right, my baby is safe !”
However, many online weren’t convinced. “Your son is going to beat on you when he gets older and finds out what you did, buddy,” one user wrote. Another added: “Bro, you ran in the house and slammed the door,” while a third asked, “I mean, did you at least jog after the car?”
The case took another turn when Jamal’s 27-year-old uncle, Jamel K. White, allegedly opened fire at two people while searching for the boy. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, he shot at a passing vehicle, hitting a tree and an abandoned home. White later claimed he acted out of fear for his family’s safety.

He now faces two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety with a weapon. His bond was set at $20,000, and he has been ordered not to possess firearms.
Two additional men were arrested in connection with the case — one from the house where Jamal was taken, and another from the home where he was found. Their identities and the motive remain unknown.
