Meghan Markle reveals home remedy to teat allergies

Meghan Markle just dropped a little health hack that’s got people talking, and it involves bees, honey, and some serious mom energy. On Tuesday, the Duchess of Sussex surprised listeners with a bonus episode of her Confessions of a Female Founder podcast, which officially wrapped up on May 27, 2025.

In this unexpected addition, Meghan sat down for a warm and candid chat with none other than Tina Knowles — yes, Beyoncé’s mom. The conversation took a relatable turn when Tina let out a sneeze and mentioned she’d been dealing with allergy issues.

Without missing a beat, Meghan chimed in with a tip that felt straight out of a neighborhood moms group. “Oh no, do you eat local honey? That can help,” Meghan offered, sounding more like your helpful friend than a royal. Tina admitted she used to, but kind of fell out of the habit. That’s when Meghan gently encouraged her to get back on the honey train.

“You have to get back on that,” she said, adding a sweet anecdote about one of her son Archie’s school friends. “One of Archie’s little friends at school, this little girl has such bad allergies. I said, ‘Hold on a minute — we have bees — let me give you a little jar of our honey'”, reported PEOPLE.

And just like that, we got a glimpse into Meghan’s surprisingly down-to-earth lifestyle. Turns out, the Sussex family has their very own bee setup. Meghan casually mentioned, “Yes, we have a little apiary down there — three of them.”

And of course, their son Archie is fully suited up for the job. “Archie has his little beekeeper suit with the little hat on and the gloves. It’s great,” she said with clear mom pride.

But this wasn’t just about cute outfits and homegrown honey. Meghan circled back to the benefits, explaining, “I will say for allergies, helpful, because if it’s local honey, get that pollen, all the same things in your system, and it desensitizes allergies.”

It’s not just talk either. Meghan gave fans a sneak peek into their beekeeping life on Instagram recently, sharing a video of herself with daughter Princess Lilibet collecting honey from their hives. The behind-the-scenes clip offered a rare and personal look at the family’s home life, far from the public eye.

Meghan and Prince Harry, who married in 2018, are raising their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, with a mix of privacy and the occasional public insight, such as this one. From royal life to podcasting to sharing allergy remedies, Meghan’s making her path.

So if you’re sneezing your way through allergy season, the Duchess’s tip might just be worth a try. Local honey, courtesy of your neighborhood beekeeper — or if you’re lucky, maybe even Meghan Markle herself.
