Chris Brown received a warm and public show of support from longtime friend and collaborator Justin Bieber following his release from a London prison on Thursday. Brown, 36, was granted bail set at $6.7 million amid an ongoing assault investigation.
In an Instagram post shared shortly after deplaning from a private jet, Brown marked his release with a brief but pointed caption: “Cook, remain humble,” followed by a heart emoji. The post quickly drew thousands of comments, with fans and fellow artists weighing in.

Among the most notable replies was a message from Justin Bieber, 31, who simply wrote, “welcome home.” The comment alone garnered over 16,400 likes, reflecting the outpouring of attention surrounding Brown’s legal developments and the continued loyalty from his musical peers.
Bieber and Brown have collaborated several times throughout their careers, including on the 2011 hit “Next to You” and the 2019 track “Don’t Check on Me.” Their musical chemistry has often been praised, and Bieber has not shied away from expressing public support for Brown, even during some of the artist’s most controversial periods.
Back in 2019, Bieber sparked headlines when he compared Brown’s talent to that of Michael Jackson and Tupac Shakur, calling Brown “a combination of MJ and 2Pac.” In the same post, Bieber referenced Brown’s 2009 felony assault against then-girlfriend Rihanna, urging fans and critics alike to reconsider their views on the singer.

“You will miss what you had in front of you the whole time … trust me, watch you will see,” Bieber wrote, adding, “the people who have overlooked this man’s talent because of a mistake he made. You need to reevaluate! Love you @chrisbrownofficial.”

Despite his release, Brown’s legal troubles are far from over. He is due back in court next month in connection with accusations that he used a bottle to inflict bodily harm on music producer Abe Diaw. The alleged incident took place at London’s Tape nightclub in the upscale Mayfair district on February 19, 2023.
Brown was arrested on May 15 at the Lowry Hotel in Salford, shortly after arriving at nearby Manchester Airport to rehearse for his upcoming Breezy Bowl XX 20th anniversary tour. The tour is set to mark two decades in the music industry for the often-controversial performer.
As the legal proceedings continue, Brown appears to be leaning on the support of close friends like Bieber—and on the loyalty of fans who continue to stand by him despite his checkered past.
