Prince Harry has faced a significant setback, as a prominent royal commentator shifted the blame for the ongoing royal feud squarely onto the Duke of Sussex himself, rather than his wife, Meghan Markle.
During a discussion about Harry’s latest BBC interview, royal expert Robert Jobson accused the Duke of being “bitter” and making poor decisions that led to his estrangement from his family. The remarks followed a major setback for Harry in his UK security case, which has been a source of tension within the royal family.

In an appearance on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, Jobson said, “Maybe there was a degree of that bitterness in what he gave that interview with the BBC, a sense, again, he wasn’t there – and he knows he should be there.” He suggested that Harry’s emotions were a reflection of his deepening frustration with the situation.
Jobson also weighed in on the long-standing claims that Meghan Markle was the cause of Harry’s strained relationship with the royal family. Contrary to the common narrative, Jobson defended the Duchess of Sussex. “A lot of people blame Meghan for a lot, I don’t blame her at all,” Jobson said.
“I think he’s got to be man enough to make his own decisions, and some of the decisions he’s made have been absolutely wrong.” The royal commentator expressed that if Harry had not written his explosive memoir Spare and participated in the high-profile interview with Oprah Winfrey, he likely would have been invited to key royal events, including the recent VE Day celebrations to support his father, King Charles.

“Nobody said you shouldn’t go away and have a private life, but if he hadn’t done the book and if he hadn’t done the Oprah interview, there’s no doubt in my view that he would have been invited back to do certain things,” Jobson remarked.
Jobson’s comments underline the growing belief that Harry’s actions, rather than Meghan’s influence, have been the primary cause of his alienation from the royal family. His latest remarks have sparked renewed debate about Harry’s role in the ongoing tensions and whether his relationship with the monarchy can be repaired.
