Speaking before a gathered crowd, Trump reflected on Melania’s role as a mother, describing her in six simple words: “She is so good with Barron.”
“I especially want to thank one of the best moms that I know, that I’ve ever seen,” Trump said. “Sometimes she’s almost too good. She is so good with Barron that he’s grown up strong and nice, and he’s a good boy. He’s a good student. Earlier this year, she told Fox News that being a mother would “always be her number one priority.”
Trump’s remarks marked one of the few times he has publicly spoken about Melania’s parenting, despite her own emphasis on motherhood in previous interviews and appearances.
