Meghan Markle reportedly seems to be overwhelmed with anger when it comes to Prince Harry’s ex

Tensions between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton appear to be escalating once more, and this time the cause reportedly involves an old flame of Prince Harry. According to a royal insider, the Duchess of Sussex is growing increasingly frustrated with the Princess of Wales for publicly supporting the jewelry line of Chelsy Davy — Harry’s ex-girlfriend.

The claim, reported by Closer magazine, suggests that Kate’s support of Davy’s brand, Aya, has not gone over well in the Sussex household. “Supporting Chelsy’s jewellery line [Aya] has sparked frustrations within the Sussex household,” an insider revealed.

This gesture, which may have appeared innocent on the surface, is being perceived by some as anything but. “This move was perceived as deliberate and only fanned the flames rather than help bring the Sussexes and Waleses closer together,” the source explained.

While Prince Harry and Meghan have previously expressed interest in mending fences with the royal family, insiders say that effort hasn’t been reciprocated by Prince William or Kate. “Harry and Meghan have been open to a reconciliation in recent years, [but] it hasn’t gotten past William or Kate,” the source claimed.

“[William and Kate] feel there is too much water under the bridge and damage done to be able to come back from it,” the insider added, suggesting that the divide between the once-close royal brothers — and their wives — remains deep.

This isn’t the first time Meghan has felt targeted by royal actions. During the release of the Harry & Meghan Netflix docuseries, she spoke candidly about being encouraged to wear muted colors such as “camel, beige, and white” to avoid clashing with more senior royals during official appearances.

However, some within the royal family reportedly saw the comments as exaggerated — even humorous. The source recalled that Meghan’s comments “proved to be quite a comedy moment for the women in the royal family.”

As a result, they allegedly responded with a not-so-subtle fashion statement of their own. “Because of that, they decided to turn up at the next event in the same colour. The move didn’t go unnoticed on the other side of the pond,” the source noted.

While the royal rift shows no signs of healing anytime soon, these subtle choices — from jewelry endorsements to wardrobe shades — seem to be carrying significant weight in the ongoing tension between the Sussexes and the rest of the Firm.
