Kanye West launched into a fiery and emotional livestream on April 30, venting his frustrations over not seeing his four children with ex-wife Kim Kardashian. The 47-year-old rapper, masked and visibly agitated, recorded the outburst, which was later shared to Instagram by Hollywood Unlocked.
“[DJ] Akademiks put that battery in my back, bro… I’mma gonna get these kids, man!” Kanye declared during the livestream. “I’m talking to the lawyers — it gets to the point where I don’t lose my f**kin’ mind where I got to get used to not seeing my kids.”

Ye shares four children with Kardashian — North, 10, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5 — and has become increasingly vocal about his dissatisfaction with their custody arrangement. In recent months, he’s taken to social media multiple times to express his grievances, even comparing his parenting schedule to “jail visitation.”
In last week’s online post, the Runaway rapper accused Kardashian of taking the children from him and questioned why others remained silent. “Why are you all watching and letting Kim take my kids from me in real time?” he wrote. He went on to call out celebrities including Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and Elon Musk. “Y’all wanna say I’m acting out cause of things in my childhood, but I don’t get to be a dad,” he added.

While Ye’s comments have fueled headlines and concern among fans, a source close to the situation told Daily Mail that the reality is more nuanced. “He’s allowed to see the kids whenever he wants,” the insider revealed. “Kim is very careful also to not put them in situations that are chaotic.”

Despite the claims from both sides, West’s public outbursts continue to raise questions about the co-parenting dynamics between him and Kardashian. The former couple, who finalized their divorce in 2022, have often found themselves under the media spotlight, with Ye’s unpredictable behavior and controversial statements frequently complicating matters.
As Ye insists he’s fighting to be present in his children’s lives, insiders say Kardashian remains focused on keeping their environment stable and shielded from drama. The emotional toll on both sides — and the children — remains a deeply personal and ongoing struggle.
