“The First 100 Days: Mom & Press Sec Edition” – Karoline Leavitt Opens Up About Balancing the Podium and Parenthood

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is marking her 100th day in office with a personal and heartfelt tribute to her unique dual role: top spokesperson for the President and a first-time mom. In a candid Instagram post, the 27-year-old shared snapshots from her life inside the West Wing — and at home — giving followers a rare look at the high-wire act of motherhood and political life.

“The first 100 days: mom & press sec edition,” Leavitt captioned her photo carousel, which included images from press briefings, behind-the-scenes moments with tech billionaire Elon Musk, and tender pictures of her infant son Niko in the Oval Office, as reported by the Irish Star.

Support poured in from admirers who praised her for juggling public service with new motherhood. One follower commented, “Boy, am I loving this pro-life, pro-women, pro-family administration! And to do what you are doing at your age and so ELOQUENTLY. Such a role model for all women and young girls!”

Leavitt and her husband, 60-year-old real estate mogul Nicolas Riccio, welcomed baby Niko in July 2024. The couple, whose 32-year age difference has drawn public interest, tied the knot in January 2025 — just months before she stepped into the national spotlight as President Donald Trump’s press secretary.

Reflecting on her journey, Leavitt opened up about the challenges many working mothers face. “I try to make it home for bedtime as much as I can throughout the week,” she shared, acknowledging the guilt that often accompanies career-driven parenting. “I think every working mother understands the demands. No matter where you are, what you’re doing, there is a sense of guilt,” she said, according to Mirror US.

The post quickly became a rallying point for supporters, many of whom praised her as a role model. “You’re such a wonderful role model for young girls… articulate, strong, smart…and not affected by unsolicited opinions,” one follower wrote. Another added simply, “Greatest Press Secretary.”

With messages like “You are an amazing young woman! And add mom to that! Wow!” and “You’re an inspiration to all women,” it’s clear that Karoline Leavitt’s story is resonating well beyond the halls of the White House.
