Two Suspects Arrested After Dramatic Manhunt for Henderson Bank Heists

Police have arrested two suspects accused of carrying out a pair of armed robberies at Henderson banks in January, ending a multi-agency manhunt involving local and federal law enforcement.

Denzel Jones, 23, and Trashauna Outlaw, 21, are now facing multiple felony charges, including two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, two counts of burglary with a deadly weapon, eight counts of assault with a deadly weapon, and two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery, according to court records.

The crime spree began on January 18 around 9:10 a.m., when Henderson police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Chase Bank located at 90 North Stephanie Street near the 215 Beltway. Witnesses reported that the suspect brandished a black handgun before fleeing in the passenger seat of a waiting vehicle, police said.

Just one week later, on January 25, another armed robbery took place at the American First Credit Union at 10608 South Eastern Avenue near West Horizon Ridge Parkway, also just after 9:10 a.m. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either incident, police confirmed.

Henderson detectives worked diligently to identify the suspects, and their efforts paid off. On Saturday, February 1, with assistance from the FBI, the North Las Vegas Police Department, and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, officers successfully tracked down and arrested Jones and Outlaw without incident.

Authorities are urging anyone with additional information related to this case to come forward. Those with tips can contact the Henderson Police Department at 702-267-4911 or call 3-1-1. To remain anonymous, individuals can reach out to Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or visit the Crime Stoppers website. Tips that lead directly to a felony arrest or indictment through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.

As the investigation continues, law enforcement officials are working to determine whether the suspects may be connected to other similar crimes in the area. The arrests bring some closure to the community, but police are reminding the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
