Trump Claims ‘Criminals Coming In Are Far Worse’ After Deadly New Orleans Truck Attack

Hours after a man drove an F-150 truck through barriers in New Orleans’ Bourbon Street district, killing at least ten revelers and injuring dozens more, President-elect Donald Trump took to Truth Social to comment on the tragic incident.

Trump began his social media post by attacking Democrats and the media, while appearing to claim, without evidence, that the driver of the truck, who was shot and killed by police, hailed from outside the country.

“When I said that the criminals coming in are far worse than the criminals we have in our country, that statement was constantly refuted by Democrats and the Fake News Media, but it turned out to be true. The crime rate in our country is at a level that nobody has ever seen before,” Trump wrote, seemingly linking the incident to his previous criticism of immigration and crime.

After addressing his political grievances, Trump shifted his focus to the victims of the attack. “Our hearts are with all of the innocent victims and their loved ones, including the brave officers of the New Orleans Police Department.

The Trump Administration will fully support the City of New Orleans as they investigate and recover from this act of pure evil!” he added. Trump’s comments quickly drew attention, especially given the lack of evidence supporting his claim that the attacker came from outside the country.

Authorities have yet to release full details about the suspect, and investigations are ongoing. The deadly attack, which occurred just hours before New Year’s celebrations, has left the New Orleans community in shock as they cope with the loss and trauma caused by the rampage.
