Nevada Mom of Victim Allegedly Shot Four Times in the Back of the Head by New Boyfriend

A Las Vegas man, Markeem Benson, 29, has been charged with the cold-blooded murder of his new girlfriend, Renise “NeNe” Wolfe, 33, just days before Christmas. Benson allegedly shot Wolfe in the back of the head four times after assuring her mother he would ensure her safety.

The tragedy unfolded after Benson picked up Wolfe from a family holiday celebration on December 21. Tracy Coleman, Wolfe’s mother, recalled her chilling last interaction with Benson. “Please get my daughter home safe,” she implored. Benson reportedly replied, “I’ll get her home safe. I’ll take care of her, I promise.”

Wolfe was found dead the following morning at her residence on East Rome Boulevard. It was Benson’s father who tipped off authorities, reporting that his son intended to surrender. During a court hearing, Clark County Chief Deputy District Attorney Michelle Jobe revealed disturbing details, a report viewed by KSNV.

“The victim was shot behind the ear from the back of the head, four times,” Jobe stated. Benson claimed the gun discharged during a struggle. Benson, who was on probation for attempted robbery at the time, was arrested on December 26 and now faces charges of murder and firearms violations.

Wolfe’s family expressed their shock at the crime, describing Benson as a seemingly considerate and loving partner during his five-month relationship with Wolfe. “He makes you really trust him,” Coleman shared, noting his frequent check-ins and visits to Wolfe’s workplace. “That’s how he took care of her,” she added.

Outside the North Las Vegas Justice Court, Wolfe’s family vowed to attend every hearing to ensure justice was served. “We’ll be here every single time,” Wolfe’s sister, Ashley Tuttle, declared. Wolfe’s mother spoke passionately about her daughter’s character.

“People always say when somebody passes, ‘They were so wonderful.’ But my daughter was wonderful,” Coleman emphasized.

The tragedy has left Wolfe’s family reeling, as they prepare to navigate the legal proceedings and honor her memory. Benson remains in custody as the case moves forward, with Wolfe’s family determined to see accountability for the devastating loss of their loved one.
