Royal Fans Predict Prince William Will Be Merciless Toward Prince Andrew

Royal watchers are convinced that Prince William will take a far tougher stance against his uncle, Prince Andrew, once he becomes king—especially after reports surfaced that the Duke of York has successfully resisted King Charles’s efforts to evict him from Royal Lodge.

According to The Daily Express UK, as cited by Marie Claire, Andrew appears to have “won the row with Charles” after a lengthy dispute over the sprawling Windsor estate where he resides. King Charles had reportedly pushed his younger brother, who is no longer a working royal, to downsize and move to more modest accommodations.

However, Prince Andrew presented the monarch with a lease agreement that he claims gives him the legal right to remain at Royal Lodge. The victory, though, has not been well received by royal fans, many of whom took to the New York Post’s comment section after the story was published to express frustration with the outcome.

One commenter warned, “Andrew won the battle but will lose the war. Prince William will be merciless.” Another remarked, “I suggest Prince Andrew is such a disgrace that I would’ve kicked him out come hell or high water.”

A third reader added, “King Charles has given up trying to evict him. So it’s not a real win. I have a feeling Prince William will have to deal with Uncle Andy!” The sentiment was echoed by another who cautioned, “If Charles gave up, William won’t.”

The long-running dispute over Royal Lodge has become one of the most public signs of tension within the Royal Family since Andrew stepped back from official duties in 2019 amid controversy surrounding his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

While Andrew has largely kept a low profile, his continued residence at the 30-room property has remained a point of contention for the monarchy, particularly as King Charles works to slim down the institution and cut costs.

Observers note that William, who is already preparing for his future role as king, has shown little patience for what many consider Andrew’s tarnished reputation. The speculation now is that while Charles may have yielded to legal barriers preventing eviction, William could revisit the matter with a firmer hand when the crown eventually passes to him.

For now, Andrew may be celebrating a reprieve at Royal Lodge, but public opinion suggests his position within the Royal Family remains precarious—and the next king may not be as forgiving.
