Kensington Palace has announced that Prince William will embark on an official visit to Estonia next week, just days after reports surfaced of a secret meeting between him and his estranged brother, Prince Harry.
Royal expert Richard Palmer took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share the palace’s statement, confirming the Prince of Wales’ upcoming engagements. “The Prince of Wales will be in Estonia from March 20 to 21, visiting the Mercian Regiment in his role as Colonel-in-Chief to see how British troops are bolstering NATO’s eastern flank as part of Operation Cabrit,” Palmer posted.
Another royal commentator, Kate Mansey, echoed the announcement, tweeting, “NEW: Kensington Palace announces that the Prince of Wales will visit Estonia next Thursday and Friday (20-21 March) to visit the Mercian Regiment in his role as Colonel-in-Chief.
“William will learn about how they are bolstering NATO’s eastern flank as part of Operation Cabrit.” The timing of the announcement follows reports by The Closer, which claimed Prince Harry recently met with Prince William and Kate Middleton while they were vacationing with their children on the Caribbean island of Mustique during their half-term holiday.
While no official confirmation has been made regarding such a meeting, the speculation has fueled interest in the brothers’ strained relationship. According to Reuters, during his two-day visit, Prince William—who is next in line to the British throne—will also carry out engagements in Tallinn. There, he will meet with officials to discuss Estonia’s response to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
The visit comes amid heightened tensions in Eastern Europe and is expected to highlight Britain’s commitment to its NATO allies. Kensington Palace emphasized that William’s focus will be on understanding how the UK military is contributing to the security of the region.
While rumors continue to swirl regarding a possible reconciliation between the royal brothers, Prince William appears focused on his royal duties, reinforcing his role within the monarchy and his commitment to global security.
