Meghan Markle makes it tough for her friends to hold their opinions

It seems Meghan Markle isn’t a big fan of clashing opinions—at least, that’s the claim being made by royal expert Hugo Vickers. In a recent chat with The Sun, Vickers didn’t hold back, suggesting the Duchess of Sussex doesn’t take disagreements well, especially when they come from those close to her.

“None of this surprises me at all, because we see it the whole time when things don’t go her way. She just overreacts,” he said. It’s a pretty strong statement, and it reflects the ongoing narrative from some royal commentators that Meghan tends to fall out with people when things don’t align with her expectations.

The latest supposed casualty of this behaviour? Edward Enninful, the former British Vogue editor. According to Vickers, the pair haven’t exactly stayed on the best of terms, and it may have cost Meghan a spot in something she wanted to be part of. “Clearly in this case with Edward Enninful, she has made something of an enemy, because he then dropped her from something she would have liked to be a part of, and it seems to happen the whole time,” he added.

Vickers didn’t stop there. He painted a picture of someone who’s not the easiest to collaborate with, saying, “She’s very demanding. She’s difficult to work with. She has her ideas of what she wants to do, and she doesn’t seem to want to listen to anybody else, and that’s when you get into trouble.”

While it’s nothing new for Meghan to find herself the subject of critical headlines, the suggestion here is that her relationships—even with high-profile friends and collaborators—can sour if there’s even a whiff of creative or personal disagreement.

The claims add to a familiar narrative that’s been followed since her royal exit with Prince Harry, as she continues to build her brand in the US. Whether you think it’s a fair character assessment or just more royal gossip, one thing’s for sure—these comments are likely to stir the pot further.

As for Meghan’s side of the story? No official word, and she’s often chosen to stay quiet when it comes to these kinds of accusations. But with the spotlight still firmly on her every move, that silence might speak volumes.
