Kate Middleton is reportedly under pressure from Prince William to cut off contact with Prince Harry following the Duke of Sussex’s latest remarks about the Royal Family, according to insiders.
Prince William is said to be “furious” after Harry’s recent interview with the BBC, in which he criticized the establishment following his failed High Court appeal against the Home Office. During the interview, Harry described the legal ruling as an “establishment stitch-up” and suggested his father, King Charles III, could help by “stepping aside” and letting officials handle the situation independently.

The comments appear to have reignited tensions between the brothers, who have been estranged since Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as working royals in 2020 and relocated to California. In the wake of Harry’s remarks, William has reportedly urged his wife, the Princess of Wales, to stop communicating with his younger brother.
“William is furious that Harry’s speaking out again and doing interviews he’s convinced this isn’t the end of it,” an insider told Radar Online. “He’s made it clear to the rest of the family that they should keep their distance from the Sussexes, because anything shared could be turned against them.”
According to the source, William has asked Kate to be especially cautious. “William doesn’t like having to put his foot down with Kate, but he sees this as necessary to protect everyone. What he’s most worried about is that anything Kate says to Harry could be twisted or resurface later, especially if there’s another book, or if Meghan decides to tell her own side of the story.”

However, Kate is reportedly conflicted. While she is deeply hurt by Harry’s actions, she doesn’t fully agree with William’s approach. “Kate’s deeply upset with Harry, but she’s also frustrated that William and the rest of the family have allowed things to deteriorate this badly. It’s heartbreaking for her to watch the family so publicly divided,” the source added.
Kate, who has long been seen as a peacemaker within the Royal Family, is said to be doing everything she can to maintain stability. “She is trying her best, as she knows the family can’t withstand any more tragedies or scandals,” the insider explained.
Prince Harry and Meghan currently reside in California with their two children, Archie, six, and Lilibet, three. Despite their physical distance, the emotional rift within the Royal Family appears far from resolved.
