Speculation is growing over whether Prince Harry will meet King Charles during his latest visit to the United Kingdom, with a royal expert suggesting that any talks remain uncertain.
Roya Nikkhah, royal editor of The Sunday Times, shared her insight during an appearance on Good Morning Britain. She explained that, “no one knows apart from the King, Harry, and his private secretary. As far as I understand, it’s still very up in the air.”
Harry is currently in the UK on a four-day trip. His confirmed engagements include attending the WellChild Awards ceremony and making a substantial donation at a private event in Nottingham in support of Children in Need. However, the possibility of a personal meeting with his father continues to dominate headlines.
Nikkhah suggested that if a meeting does occur, it would likely take place later in the week. “If it does happen, I think it’ll happen midweek when the King comes down from Balmoral,” she said.

The prospect of reconciliation is complicated, according to the commentator, by years of public tensions between Harry and the royal family. Since stepping down from royal duties in 2020, the Duke of Sussex has made a series of statements in interviews and in his memoir that were viewed as deeply critical of his father, stepmother Queen Camilla, and his brother, Prince William, and sister-in-law Kate Middleton.
Nikkhah explained, “It’s never that simple. Father and son want to see each other, but Harry has said so many things in the last two years that have been hurtful to the King, to the Queen, to William, to Kate.”
The ongoing mistrust, she noted, raises doubts about whether a private meeting could remain confidential. “There’s so much mistrust. Can a meeting like that happen, and Harry not talk about it after? That’s the key question.”

Harry’s trip comes at a sensitive time, with King Charles balancing his official duties and personal health concerns while the monarchy continues to navigate shifting public perceptions. The possibility of a father-son meeting is seen as an important step toward reconciliation, but also carries the risk of further strain if details are later made public.
Royal watchers are left waiting for confirmation of whether the pair will sit down together. The uncertainty underscores the fragile nature of their relationship and the challenges of rebuilding trust after years of tension.
