Trump Promotes $199 ‘Victory 45-47’ Fragrance Line, Sparks Online Backlash

President Donald Trump turned heads Monday evening with a fresh pitch — not for votes, but for his latest product: a high-priced line of fragrances. The announcement, made via his Truth Social platform, was met with swift and often scathing reactions across social media.

Trump, who has a long-standing history of attaching his name to perfumes and colognes, unveiled his newest scents under the brand “Victory 45-47.” The name nods to his previous term as the 45th president and his hopes of becoming the 47th.

“Trump Fragrances are here,” he wrote. “They’re called ‘Victory 45-47’ because they’re all about Winning, Strength, and Success — For men and women. Get yourself a bottle, and don’t forget to get one for your loved ones too. Enjoy, have fun, and keep winning!”

The price tag? A striking $199 per bottle — and critics weren’t shy about sharing their thoughts. X user Burt Macklin mocked the product launch: “Just spent my entire life saving on his new phone service. Going to take out a few payday loans to get this new fragrance.”

Drew Logan didn’t mince words, writing, “You are a complete f—ing loser if you buy this.” Others joined in with biting commentary. Fred Wellman, host of the On Democracy podcast, reshared Trump’s post with the familiar sarcastic line: “Thank you for your attention.”

Journalist Aaron Rupar dismissed the launch as “new frontiers of grifting,” while former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan asked bluntly, “How is this legal?” Even casual observers weighed in with disbelief. “Wtf? Lol,” posted Kate from Kharkiv.

CNN correspondent Kristen Holmes highlighted the cost: “President Trump is launching his own fragrance line called ‘Victory 45-47’. $199 a bottle.”

And X user Jeff Fleischmann chimed in with dark humor: “Rumored to be made from ‘essence’ of his ‘precious bodily fluids.’ Appropriate warnings may or may not be listed on the label. Use with extreme caution and ideally in the presence of a medical professional.”

Trump’s fragrance ventures date back to 2004 with “Donald Trump, The Fragrance,” released in collaboration with Estée Lauder. In 2015, he followed up with “Empire by Trump.” Most recently, he launched “Victory 47” and a line called “Fight, Fight, Fight” last year, marketed toward both men and women.

Now, with “Victory 45-47” entering the mix — and carrying a luxury price point — Trump appears to be continuing his unique blend of politics and product promotion, even as critics question the ethics, pricing, and branding behind it.
