Trump Declares ‘Forever Peace’ Between Iran and Israel, Claims Credit for Ending War After U.S. Strikes

President Donald Trump announced Monday night on Truth Social that he had brokered peace between Iran and Israel, declaring an end to their recent hostilities. In a sweeping statement, Trump took credit for the breakthrough, framing it as a historic victory.

“Israel & Iran came to me, almost simultaneously, and said, ‘PEACE!’ I knew the time was NOW,” Trump told his followers. “The World, and the Middle East, are the real WINNERS! Both Nations will see tremendous LOVE, PEACE, AND PROSPERITY in their futures.”

He added, “They have so much to gain, and yet, so much to lose if they stray from the road of RIGHTEOUSNESS & TRUTH. The future for Israel & Iran is UNLIMITED, & filled with great PROMISE. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH!”

The post followed an exclusive phone interview earlier Monday in which Trump declared the conflict “completely over” and insisted the ceasefire he facilitated would last “forever.” His claims come after a weekend of U.S.-led airstrikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities, which escalated tensions before the sudden de-escalation.

However, Trump’s messaging has faced scrutiny. While celebrating the ceasefire, he has also openly advocated for regime change in Iran—a stance that contradicts statements from his own vice president. This dual approach has raised questions about the long-term stability of the agreement.

Political analysts remain skeptical, noting that neither Israeli nor Iranian officials have publicly confirmed Trump’s role in negotiations. The White House has yet to issue an official response, leaving the former president’s assertions unchallenged for now.

As tensions in the Middle East remain fragile, Trump’s declaration of peace marks a bold, if unverified, claim—one that could shape his political narrative as he campaigns for a return to the Oval Office.
