Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform on Monday to express his frustration with Democratic nominee Kamala Harris for declining to debate him on Fox News. As President Joe Biden addressed the Democratic National Convention, Trump voiced his grievances online, taking aim at Harris’s decision.
“Comrade Kamala Harris has just informed us that she will NOT do the Fox News Debate on September 4th,” Trump wrote, using a pejorative term to criticize the vice president. “I am not surprised by this development because I feel that she knows it is very difficult, at best, for her to defend her record-setting Flip-Flopping on absolutely everything she once believed in.”
Trump specifically targeted Harris’s positions on fracking and immigration, areas where he believes she has shown inconsistency. In response to Harris declining the debate, Trump announced an alternative plan. “Rather than the debate on September 4th, I have agreed to do a Tele-Town Hall, anchored by Sean Hannity, for Fox,” Trump revealed. “It will take place in the Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania – Details to follow!”
